Modelling a Human Foot

The following steps indicate one approach to building a human foot.

Successful results depend on good reference.

Head Stages
Toes from Fingers

The most significant element of the foot is the toes. Each toe is very unique from its neighbour, so in addition to capturing the the overall size and proportion of the foot, special attention must be paid to the shape and character of each single toe.

A good starting model for the toe, in terms of edge flow and relative proportions is the finger. Make a toe by removing one joint and reconnecting the finger tip.
